That little section to the left of DnD?

Cosplay.

To the right?

Furries.

Am furry can confirm this is kinda how it works lmao. Furries can also be massive nerds, but the horny and trauma can overshadow the nerd-outs (edit: the horny and roleplay help deal with the trauma).

Improper 4 circle venn diagram. Should look like this

[–] OrnateLuna@lemmy.blahaj.zone 8 points 2 months ago

Tbf you can't make a proper Venn diagram with 4 circles

[–] Yuyarl@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 months ago

Rather cromulent Euler diagram, though

[–] hihi24522@lemm.ee 19 points 2 months ago

The missing overlaps on this representation of a Ven diagram are:

Kink culture / nerd culture: Hentai

Escapism / trauma: Disassociation

There are unlabeled overlaps I can't upvote this meme without them being filled

How does anime fit into trauma?

I suppose in the broad sense the japanese turned the horrible things that happened to them in history into supervillains to beat up for catharsis, but that seems beyond the scope of a shitpost meme
