Yeah, and he's unironically running to the left of Kamala on almost everything.
He wants to stop aid to Israel and Ukraine (calling the genocide in Gaza a genocide), stop tariffs on China, legalize abortion nationally, abolish the TSA, repeal the PATRIOT ACT, decriminalize all drugs, enact ranked choice voting, abolish the death penalty, end qualified immunity and mandatory minimum sentencing, and cut military spending by half.
Juuuust don't ask about his positions on social security, Medicare, education, or any other government spending that actually helps people.
For a libertarian, he's relatively progressive, but he's still a libertarian 
Libertarians can be very strange sometimes. They'll see all the problems with capital interfering with government and destroying society and their conclusion will be that it is government's fault, forcing those poor innocent corporations to be corrupt.
They're a dumb section of people who, in the past, could just vanguarded into anti-capitalism through anti-government sentiment but now they have an """ideology""" that makes them harder to lead our way and thus just reinforces capitalism.
I'm sure there's some fine print about abolishing the age of consent. That's a core American Libertarian value. 
From what I can tell, I think part of why he's controversial in the party is that he's into adult men.
I think he is also pro-lgbtq+ and wants to lift the embargo on Cuba
