Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

The thing is, these guys are saying “people who supported Bush and MaCain aren’t real Republicans… we hate them!” are still trying to get those hated Republicans to vote for Trump aren’t they?

Or is this all going to end with only a few thousand MAGAs yelling about how nobody else deserves to live in the USA?

These guys really are deluded into thinking that they are entitled to their "version" of America, and that everyone else (read: most of the country) needs to get out. It'd be amusing if the looming threat of civil war wasn't so palpable.

[–] adespoton@lemmy.ca 15 points 1 year ago

Well, if they keep this up, it won’t be much of a civil war… and not just because they don’t know how to be civil.

Civil war re-enactment happening here as always, heard people saying just last night they always cheer for the confederates.

At least when you watch a sports team you don't know the end result completely beforehand. Thinly veiled one might say

If they weren't pandering for votes from people they hated they wouldn't be pandering for votes at all!

MAGA is going down fast. Unbelievably fast.

[–] simplejack@lemmy.world 83 points 1 year ago

The election is still polling as a coin toss. Don’t get cocky. Vote.

And yet, not fast enough.

[–] cabron_offsets@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Going down on Putin.

[–] ohellidk@sh.itjust.works 22 points 1 year ago

Cry more, MAGA idiots!

Glad those 200 staffers are.

Another 50 million of them and I'll be happier!

Honestly, donOLD is not going to live forever. Why do these asshats support him so fervently? I wonder just how much landfill they are creating with all that dumb shit they buy that is rabidly anti-Obama, anti-Biden and pro-felon? And most especially someone that buys one of those stupid cards?

[–] BleatingZombie@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

If they pray to him enough, maybe he won't leave them like their last god

[–] InternetUser2012@lemmy.today 9 points 1 year ago

Guess that dictator strategy and the whole Project2025 wasn't such a good play after all. Fucking morons.

[–] saltesc@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It's weird that people would get so butt hurt at a news outlet. Says a lot about who's the sheeple and how much news outlets are involved and prioritised in their lives

[–] TachyonTele@lemm.ee 6 points 1 year ago

Identity politics is pathetic. These people base their entire being on a convicted lying old felon womenizer traitor

200 sounds like a big number, but out of how many? Is this 1%, 10%? Numbers like this without their context are kind of meaningless.

View it as a barometer in context. 200 GOP staffers have openly endorsed Harris. For apples to apples comparison, how many DNC staffers have openly endorsed Trump? I did some googling and found zero.
