It’s claimed (Axios) the interview started late due to a dispute over fact checking, but I can’t find any source for the false pretense allegation.

And given his fear of debates he wouldn’t have done if Kamala would be there lmao
Before the event there were articles saying they declined her offer to speak in person or virtually.
We know she wasn't scheduled to attend because he didn't cancel.
An absence of evidence is evidence of her absence.
