I don't think the first was a drone. Earlier reporting was that they wanted to test the laser by the airport, FAA said no. They started shooting at things anyway and came up with the balloon answer when first questioned by the press. There's no proof of a trespassing balloon or any otherl object as far as I know, though I imagine they would send up targets when test-firing. This seems like they got trigger happy again but since nobody at any of these agencies knows what the fuck they're doing, they shot someone's equipment out of the sky. Could have easily been a small plane instead.

Saw someone who's a web developer explain it. It's an error from the department tasked with transcribing/archiving them. Something about a line-break being misread and replacing characters when it shouldn't. Kind of like when you see "&&" and junk like that.

What has been "low key" about any maga stuff? They are the loudest motherfuckers. The biggest crybabies. Why would you believe a single word of their after-the-fact excuses? There's a ton of wasted space between posts and comments that wasn't there before. We are way over 50% of the entire screen being blank space. I have screenshots or earlier versions with a much tighter look.
The settings pages are even worse. There's places where only 3 settings fit on screen at a time. Here's 4

I've been using the app on breaks at work at nearly half the rate I had been using RIF. Here we see that it still used about 2x the data in roughly the same time period.
The app's great. The bugs are getting hammered out and Lemmy's great too. Can you look into doing some optimising soon?
Edit: To be more specific. RIF used just over 1gig over 10 days of browsing during breaks. Most months hit about 2-2.5 gigs. While connect used 2gigs in 6 days.
