"Unsafe" gets thrown around way too much, and not just by right-wing freaks. Absent a plausible physical threat, there's no safety issue.

The claims being obviously bogus and weaponized in this case doesn't mean you have to go full stupidpol and pretend that opression starts only when somebody gets punched. There's tons of ways to make a space unsafe while it maintains a perfectly civil appearance.

Those ways would fall under "plausible physical threats." Absent that, we're talking about people being uncomfortable (which can also be bad and may warrant addressing), but that's not the same as unsafe.
