Standing right there, turn until you see a pile of trash bags and take a picture of that instead. There's your legitimate gripe with Manhattan.
Finally in 2024, New York seems to have unlocked "garbage cans" on the tech tree. There are hardly any giant piles of trash bags that cover entire swaths of the sidewalk anymore.
