One of the subreddits rules was "don't forget the rule", so I believe it actually was a rule. I also can't recall ever seeing a post that didn't have rule in the title

There is only one rule on 196, and that is you have to post something on your way out. Using 'rule' in the title is like saying "I'm out"

Oh, must've misremembered. Not my most active sub anyway tbh. Sincerely don't remember ever seeing a post without rule in the title though, so it felt like an actual rule.
