They are female coded compared to Charizard and Blastoise so of course patriarchal society hates her.

There is more than size going on. Plants are feminine, poison is the weapon of women, Venus is feminine. Her size reads very pre-historic earth mother goddess if you ask me.

A budding flower is very feminine symbolism, which is the bulb-Venusaur through line and theme. Venus and Ivy are also feminine names.

“Charizard” is a very masculine name in comparison
