Other (more questionable) sources (cough - Daily Mail, NY Post - cough) are reporting 3x the fatal dose of Fentanyl.

Is this news? Does anyone really care that 3 random dudes od'd? If yes, why aren't the thousands of other overdose deaths news on a regular basis?

Was pretty big news here when they were found dead:

Oh - these were the three friends found dead after being missing two days. And the homeowner didn't know that they were in his backyard.

It was strange for sure, particularly as there was no obvious cause of death when they were found. I mean, if three people show up dead together in a backyard, that's going to make the news.

Yeah, that was my reaction when it happened... "Football party + 3 corpses? Fentanyl..."

[-] Baahb@lemmy.world 2 points 9 months ago

Ah! Much appreciated. The article and context seem to have a contentious relationship.

Its the follow up to a suspicious death that happened during the playoff weekend. Sorry you didnt like the predictable ending.

This one was on me. The article seems to be written in a way to force the viewer to keep reading in order to get the context, which is incredibly clear in your comment, and I'm not willing to play that game with tmz.

If True Crime Girlie's can get their rocks off on some domestic violence turned murder, I think we can all gawk at a bunch of drugged up bros who watched too much football and froze to death in their unwitting friends backyard. Allegedly.
