This would have to be the absolute dumbest thing they could do. It would immediately become the single most boneheaded political decision in the history of the Republic.
So, entirely within the realm of possibility
Based on the predictive method of "what would be the funniest possible outcome" this makes sense.
But she has to wear the mustache and glasses and every liberal in the country has to insist that Chillary Hinton is NOT Hillary Clinton, that's just classic Russian disinformatsia. Including all the times the glasses comically fall off her face and she puts them back on upside down.
Not to ever give dems too much credit but this seems like the worst of all strategies.
Spend a year blasting the message "you might not like him but you have to vote for him because it's the only way we stop fascism, oh wait no actually this other guy you also don't like is ACTUALLY the only way to stop fascism so now you have to vote for THEM even though you don't like them"
