Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.
Example:
- Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
- Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
- No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

That's all the rules!

The traitor deserves at least ten.
I'm generally against large prison sentences, but he deserves life. He was attempting to deprive all Americans from having a say in our democracy. It's not like he was just hurting himself, or even just a few people.
Per the article, he got a deal because he cooperated. I'm guessing that means he gave them intel on other people they could go after. Considering how light of a sentence he got, I'm guessing it was someone valuable. If we throw the book at everyone who cooperates nobody will cooperate.
I guess but it seems like only 3-4 of them have gotten sentences higher than what you'd get for having a joint in Mississippi.
His cooperation contributed to those 4 convictions for seditious conspiracy.
In this case, the prosecution recommended 35-43 months. He got 40.
Edit: by 4 convictions, I mean Enrique Tarrio, Ethan Nordean, Joseph Biggs, and Zachary Rehl.
We've been hearing this since 2021. Who are the big names that have been charged with insurrection as a result of all these lenient sentences?
His cooperation seems to have led to serious convictions:
Tarrio - 22 years
Nordean - 18 years
Biggs - 17 years
Rehl - 15 years
I love seeing people ask questions that easily tell us that they're not paying attention.
"When will someone be punished?!?"
These dudes got decades in prison.
Stewart Rhodes got 18 years out of a max of 20. Enrique Tarrio received 22 years.
We’ll find out ten years after they either retire or die.
Sold!
Life. Without parole.
Made an example of.
A 10mm to the skull? C'mon. A 9mm would work just fine.
Sorry y'all, I got PTSD from that day, can hardly talk about it without crying and screaming. Can't look at pictures, let alone a 30-second video. Suffice to say, I'd pull the trigger myself and feel nothing.
I think you need to get off the internet for awhile.
You got PTSD from something you saw on TV so I'm gonna go ahead and suggest that literally killing a person would probably fuck you up pretty bad.
Of course it would? I am well aware.
Perhaps this should be a sign not to advocate for the opportunity
