In my case the doctor at Mehiläinen did proactively ask me for a permission to record the visit for an AI summary. I was ready to decline it myself, but didn't have to.
When I read the Finnish-language text, it said clearly that I can decline the recording. After that it says, just like in the English text, what such a recording would be used for. But since I get to decline the act of recording in the first place, it does not matter what a recording would be used for – as there is none to use.
I am still super annoyed at Mehiläinen for this, because from what's happened in Germany, we can see that in reality the doctors often do not read the AI-generated text carefully enough to notice that something relevant is missing or that some information is incorrect. And, while my doctor did actually proactively ask for the permission to record the visit, the official texts by Mehiläinen do not seem to say it needs to be asked and that the patient must know to opt out of this.
