How’d that work out?
We'll the first impeachment you had four centrists that voted against impeachment in various ways and had one centrist not only vote against it, they also switched to the Republican party.
So…. Not well.
I'm terms of centrist not cocking up things? No, I can't say thay it went very well there.
I'm terms of the impeachment being successful and getting 55% approval and then having a record turnout in the 2020 election? Is day they were successful.
The republicans refused to convict, twice. Democrats tried twice and it didn’t work. They will do it again and the senate will still not convict.
I’m really confused by the reasoning here and why people act like I’m saying something wrong. It’s almost like the democrats have to be punished extra because of the republicans being unwilling to hold trump to account.
The point is, impeachment doesn’t do shit. No one will convict him. How much proof do you need to finally come to terms with the fact that he and his foreign handlers fucking own America.
It’s over dude. There wil be no reckoning. He will never face justice. Just accept it.
I have always believed that there will be no justice. The question was about whether democrats would impeach and that has been the only thing i have responded to.

It’s not nihilism. It’s being a realist. I don’t live in the world I wish existed. I live in the one that is evidence-based and empirical.
And for the record: there’s an entire psychology on how realism is often mistaken as pessimism. It’s pretty interesting shit.

Then you want to talk to the Republicans. Because unless the Senate goes like 60% Democrat and the coalition votes to convict, there's nothing they can do to secure a conviction.
Yeah... There is so much more they could do (which I mentioned).
But the whole campaign strategy is to court MAGAs and conservatives while pissing on the progressive left. This means that they won't do anything. They are also all AIPAC so, they won't do it because of that either.
They could hold up procedures and other government functions in protest, (like tooberville did with military promotions), they don't ever do anything.
