About half of the right are people who hold certain beliefs and can talk about them. These people can recognize when they are wrong and make changes, though many of them will double down and vote their party no matter what. The other half is full of people who make the politics part of their identity, see it as a zero-sum game, and want to actively harm people they disagree with. The people who are surprised are on the first group.

OK. So things would stay just as they are, no changes. Sounds like a fine compromise when getting a move to the left.

I guess this is a backdoor way to shut off immigration as a whole.

This was also my secret to a happy life when I lived in Argentina. Most people thought I was European, which was a bonus. I have that "maybe not from here but I can't tell from where" look.

So to avoid being called that as a white person, you have to have grown up with the native Hawaiians and be treated as one of them, I presume.

Notable that he had a debate in high school on how it shouldn't be the responsibility of students to clean up their trays in the cafeteria. He argued that the school should hire people to clean up after them. He has always been like this.

Why do people with MBAs whose entire training is on how to network follow the trend unthinkingly?

It’s bet difficult to change. No need to exist in eternal pessimism.

The people around him are a mix of whack a doos and those who benefit at the expense of others.
