Burritos, with a side of chips and salsa. Prolly gonna dip out once its done

Nice. I always like to grill (or air fry) the burrito for a little texture contrast, but everyone else finds it a waste of time.

This sounds a bit more serious than I originally took it as you just wanted some peace and quiet from family. I avoid most of my family, and I see them maybe 2-4 times a year, but this sounds like less of an option for you. It sounds like you're trying to be the bigger person by showing up with food even though you don't want to. I wish you the best of whatever your situation is. โ™ฅ๏ธ

Nice, i finish mine in the air fryer too. I used to do it in the oven, but nobody else ever really seemed to care one way or another, so i just do it for mine now.

And thanks, its pretty much exactly how you're imagining. I'm luckily going to be out of this particular situation by next year, so there's hope on the horizon. Moving out's been a long time coming.

I'm glad there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Getting away from my family is the second best thing I've ever done for myself, after getting my depression treated, which I of course, blame on so many years of not being able to get away from them!

I will support you in spirit as your crispy burrito bro!

How you a make burritos? Never did...

I usually keep frozen ones (chili cheese) from the store that I toss in the air fryer for lazy lunches.

Otherwise, the fun is you really just roll up whatever you please in a tortilla. I will usually use leftover roast chicken shredded up, corn, rice, black beans, and cheese. Warming the tortilla helps you fold it up without it tearing.

It's like a sandwich, both in function and construction. They're dry on the outside and sealed so it's portable and a self-contained meal. Also like the sandwich, you can use a recipe, but the fun is getting all the ingredients and their proportions toy our exact tastes.

If you do want a basic recipe and to see how everything is assembled, this is a really simple video showing construction of a slightly dressed up bean burrito.

You can also put them in a baking dish, pour enchilada sauce on top, and you have enchiladas instead if you want something saucy.

Thanks! All tortilas here are just breaking when trying to fold,so I will try to warm them up before or make it myself. P.s. video is so nice, the kid in the end made me laugh so much. ๐Ÿ˜†

Yeah, some are just not pliable enough. Heating on a skillet or in the microwave. I usually microwave with a damp paper towel, but I went to find you a vid of a nice floppy and pliable tortilla and this guy was doing it in a ziplock and it looks like it came out great without the paper towel and water, so I'm going to try this out myself next time.

(I just watched that other video to the very end where the littlest kids is like eh, I don't like it and left! ๐Ÿ˜‚ I stopped before that when I sent it to you, I mainly checked to make sure the guy didn't do anything weird in his recipe or get annoying.)
