~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

Be glad. Many an episode would not have happened otherwise.
I am so grateful that it all of DS9, and there were many hologram-related episodes, they never used "holodeck problem" as a plot hook.
The writers could have.
But they granted us a reprieve after all the times this was used on TNG.
Enterprise-D's holodecks were bleeding-edge experimental technology. For example, check out that first episode where they introduce them; the crew had never seen them before! Also, the Bynars upgraded them pretty quick.
In contrast, DS9's holosuites a few years later were established technology for commercial use. They were reliable because they were designed for paying customers who wouldn't tolerate shit turning real and hunting them or whatever.

I was trying to think of what the opposite of plot armour is called, cos it's that.
