- Don’t be mean to users. Be gentle or neutral.
- Most moderator actions which have a modlog message should include your username.
- When in doubt about whether or not a user is problematic, send them a DM.
- Don’t waste time debating/arguing with problematic users.
- Assume the best, but don’t tolerate sealioning/just asking questions/concern trolling.
- Ask another mod to take over cases you struggle with, if you get tired, or when things get personal.
- Ask the other mods for advice when things get complicated.
- Share everything you do in the mod matrix, both so several mods aren't unknowingly handling the same issues, but also so you can receive feedback on what you intend to do.
- Don't rush mod actions. If a case doesn't need to be handled right away, consider taking a short break before getting to it. This is to say, cool down and make room for feedback.
- Don’t perform too much moderation in the comments, except if you want a verdict to be public or to ask people to dial a convo down/stop. Single comment warnings are okay.
- Send users concise DMs about verdicts about them, such as bans etc, except in cases where it is clear we don’t want them at all, such as obvious transphobes. No need to notify someone they haven’t been banned of course.
- Explain to a user why their behavior is problematic and how it is distressing others rather than engage with whatever they are saying. Ask them to avoid this in the future and send them packing if they do not comply.
- First warn users, then temp ban them, then finally perma ban them when they break the rules or act inappropriately. Skip steps if necessary.
- Use neutral statements like “this statement can be considered transphobic” rather than “you are being transphobic”.
- No large decisions or actions without community input (polls or meta posts f.ex.).
- Large internal decisions (such as ousting a mod) might require a vote, needing more than 50% of the votes to pass. Also consider asking the community for feedback.
- Remember you are a voluntary moderator. You don’t get paid. Take a break when you need one. Perhaps ask another moderator to step in if necessary.

Reminder that the official story of how kirk got killed is lies, on a dozen different counts, and that he was killed by Israel connected ruling class interests because he refused Israel's chosen board members and their vision for the org, for his own picks for board members and vision for the org.
The official story is laughably bad, I wouldn't know where to start at this point, at 30.06 at that range would've turned the back of his neck into hamburger for one thing, even if it was a special round, (it was frangible.) They found a .223 shell on a building behind that building that was higher, and that range and caliber does fit the wound.
The pictures they posted of the suspect are mostly compressed images of people that look nothing like the 150 pound suspect, one of which was a probably 6 foot 3 230 pound man. Prosecutors aren't even trying.
The video they released, didn't show a rifle in the suspects hands, hiding it in the pants is laughable, I could go on and on here.
But because some on the right are questioning it, half of of the left believes the prosecution.

by the time the shooter has reached the area seen in the surveillance footage, he had already ditched the rifle, which was later found abandoned by law enforcement; no one is claiming that he is hiding it in his pants in that footage
I do have a source for the .223, I can send it to you in a few hours I have to find it from another source.
It was found by a cop and fbi that were searching the area and they described the bullet as having been ejected from a police officer's weapon, and didn't include it in evidence and all sorts of such things.
The thing you should ask yourself first, is if that wound was made by a 30.06 at that distance, and the answer is no. Did the shooter sneak a rifle onto the roof, assemble it, creep to the edge, take the shot without any of that visible in the grainy footage of the supposed shooter, then disassemble the rifle, all within 1 minute, run down, get away, reassemble the rifle in a chicken coop, then leave it there.
But it gets weirder, the Sherrif sent bomb/gun dog teams through that chicken coop, dog's didn't hit anything, an FBI shows up and finds it in th first minute.

This is bullshit and not how pro-Israel influence in US politics works. Kirk was broadly accepted by the republican mainstream and didn't stray too far from the party line. In fact he was for a while harrassed by Groypers in part because he refused to adopt bald-faced anti-semitism into his rethoric. This theory might well have originated in those circles.
Funny, Israel said the same thing about you being an anti salmon. Funny how that works.
But how the fuck would you know anything about how the ruling class works if you don't understand you can't accept salacious allegations at face value?
