"Who" is grammatically correct there, as the subject of the phrase. "Whom" is an object.
No, the subject of the dependent clause is "the machine," which eats. Whom does the machine eat? The immigrants, of course!
No, "the machine" is the object in that phrase.
Whom is way litter tho
