Alright I'm a little upset that the world is burning but I'm surviving best I can

I get it, i'm having a touch of insomnia after I went on an unintended caffeine break for a week and then drank a couple of mountain dews, not realizing what would happen

Sometimes, this is what life is

Being awake and seeing the sunrise is a nice little result though, usually i'm waking up too late or i'm too busy to appreciate it, but today, it's just really nice

Caffine is my bane. I need to give it up

[–] FlakesBongler@hexbear.net 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Yeah, it was nice being able to sleep regularly for a while

My suggestion is to ease off of it slowly

Try to do it all at once will give you the meanest headache

[–] Dort_Owl@hexbear.net 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Ooooh so thats what that headache is

[–] FlakesBongler@hexbear.net 5 points 1 week ago

Oh yeah

It doesn't help that a lot of headache pills actually have caffeine in them to both make it get into the bloodstream faster and also to settle caffeine withdrawal headaches

Turns out a lot of headaches are just caused by caffeine withdrawal

Caffeine actually does that for people?

[–] Le_Wokisme@hexbear.net 3 points 1 week ago

not if you regularly consume it. i've both had it pep me up and put me to sleep though, brain chemistry is fun.

I'm actually pretty caffeine sensitive

A single coffee is usually enough to keep me awake and alert for 4 to 6 hours
