In another thread somebody linked to an interview with the creators where they get asked about transphobia and sound ok-ish on it, but it also gives off the vibe that they mostly think in terms of representation and inclusion without having actually engaged with trans liberatory theories or situating that in class-based intersectional politics. It is nice that they include a trans woman in the cast and have her voiced by a trans woman, i see a lot of lesbian media that just doesn't do that even if it easily could, but that could just be tokenism. In the end, it's a film made by two cis lesbians, i expect that to miss some marks from my perspective. I guess i'll have to watch the movie for myself at some point.
