0.33% of the population should not demand so much of our attention. It is an unhealthy focus for our society.
Human rights for everyone are just too inconvenient /s
I never said that. Your emotions are too involved to see reality clearly.
Learn to speak to be understood then. Your words painted yourself as an asshole that has no empathy. Your response has provided no evidence to the contrary.
I agree wholeheartedly! These oligarchs own every media outlet and have way too much influence on public opinion for such a tiny fraction of a percent of lucky sociopaths.
Shame on them for scapegoating the Women and gender minorities for the problems created by people with actual power.
Oh, so the rights of me and my friends are lesser than yours, or of other LGBTQ+ folks?
Shame on you.
I never said that. Read better.
What are you saying then? That the media shouldn't focus so negatively on marginalized social groups?
Work on your phrasing then, because otherwise you come across negatively TOWARDS the marginalized groups.
What I said was succinctly accurate to someone not trying to force representations I never brought up.
I don't have to repeat myself, because what I said was quite clear.
You said that trans people are demanding—asking for as though it was their right—the attention of others. I think it's clear why that's being objected to. Most queer people just want to live their lives without being harassed for who they are.
If that wasn't what you meant, then you used the wrong word. I suspect you actually wanted one of the more obscure meanings of commanding: involuntarily drawing attention due to position.
Most of these articles exist not because of the trans people, but because other people are trying to control them or actively make their lives worse.
Like, if the results were "Canadians could not care any less if Bob wears make-up or not" there likely wouldn't be an article, and the 0.33% of people would get closer to 0.33% of our attention.
But, "Canadians are becoming more hostile towards trans people, which might be a result of politicians using them as a wedge issue", that's an article. Especially when one of the authors is a professor of gender studies, which makes complete sense that they wrote about the answers of these questions.
This survey had a number of questions, mostly not about trans issues.

It's more like 10%, the official statistics are 1-2%, but in the younger ages where people are less closeted it's more like 5%, and there are still a lot of young people trapped in culture and religion that are closeted, ao I predict around 10%
Depends I've heard lots of middle school girls identify as whatever then highschool they don't. Cause everything needs a label. Before we had tomboys no your gender fluid or trans or whatever label they think they have to give themselves or others give them. They are just kids trying to figure stuff out why not avoid labeling till they do. Sure some might now which is great for them. And I doubt 10% of population is trans.
And of course you're a misogynistic transphobe dipshit too. Unreal.
Hey, dummy, "tomboy" is a label, and this is the exact age kids are learning what they want to express their gender as. Of course you also think it's just "women," because it's 2010 and you saw the helicopter meme.
Or easily influenced people who believe or embrace a false reality before truly knowing themselves.
Cool, so, we're gonna tell kids gender doesn't exist until they're 18?
Hey, kys.
