~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

The only reason, and I mean the ONLY reason, why we see an exact replica of Data's butt-cheeks here is because otherwise we'd see an exact replica of Data's fully-functional android genitals.
And the thing with Tasha Yar is not the only reference we have to Data's complete anatomy, because we also get to learn that Data needed a modesty routine or he'd just walk around the colony with everything on display.
They don't seem to have his hands on display. His feet are, but no hands. They could have easily hid the ass and displayed the hands.
I might be remembering wrong, but I do believe his hands are displayed too. Either the Mysterious Myst is obscuring them or the view is blocked.
