My comic book knowledge is much more informed than my Egyptology
Here's all you need to know:
Ramses II is the guy. He's the man, he's the defining feature of the New Kingdom of Egypt. He was given the power of regency at 14 and died in power 90, he had somewhere around 100 children, and he was such a success that every Pharaoh until Alexander wished they were him (And the Ptolemaics wanted to be both Alexander and Ramses II), and this gave him such an ego that he declared himself to be Amun (Not Amun reborn, not an avatar of Amun, not a representative of Amun, not that his office granted him the power of Amun. No. He was Amun) the god of Kingship and the divine personification of the right to rule and everyone went along with it he is one of four Pharaohs to be deified while alive, and he's the only one to declare himself a god.
Edit: He was succeeded by his 13th son, not because that was a particular number or anything but because the previous 12 had died of old age.
