I haven't seen it yet, but this is my expectation too. Just a fun movie that has characters I like. Nothing earth shattering.
I think that some fandoms get far too carried away with their expectations for something— setting them so high that it can never ever deliver, and they ruin it for themselves.
Edit: and as some other commentor demonstrates further down, a few people will even go so far as to try to ruin it for others
