Who is the guy on the bottom right?

[–] Keld@hexbear.net 25 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago) (3 children)

Sam Hyde. Made like two sketches people found funny in the 2000s. Has been weirdly influential based off this ever since. Tangentially connected to the chapo-verse.

Nazi and sex criminal

Thanks. Should I watch those sketches? What were they called…?

[–] Keld@hexbear.net 8 points 3 weeks ago

They're lolsorsndum "surrealist" sketches made by a.nazi trying to be edgy. So whether you want to watch that is on you.

It's called million dollar extreme, they were on adult swim or something.

The main one is called Sam Hyde's 2070 Paradigm Shift. It was a TEDx Talk making fun of and parodying other TEDx Talks, many of which are/were people saying the equivalent words of a dollar store self-help book. That's part of why people found it funny.

His Million Dollar Extreme show was cancelled for being too edgy and not getting good ratings.

He moved onto The Fishbowl which was a live streamed Real World type show with chat interaction. It was problematic because of how the participants were treated.

Oh yeah, he also fueded with Shia Lebouf during the "He Will Not Divide Us" live streams during the first Trump term.

Why he's related to Hasan is because him and his gross fans like walking up to Hasan for years inviting him to box Sam Hyde. Hyde likes to goad other creators who don't even know who he is by saying he'll fight them.

Didn't he get some kind of short deal with adult swim after those sketches?

[–] Keld@hexbear.net 3 points 3 weeks ago

Yeah he had some of his sketches aired on adult swim. I don't know the exact details. All I know is what I've seen isn't funny and the chapo-verse spent so long talking about this guys comedic genius.

How was he connected to the chapo-verse?
