When people squat and drop templates that take up 2/3 of the canvas 10 seconds after the event starts, it just makes me not want to participate at all.

These things always seem to end up focusing on nationalistic border wars, or shilling for some product or personality. The one version that actually had some interesting stuff was the worldwide map one. It still had some of the nationalistic nonsense, but it seemed mostly contained to the nations themselves on the map, which left space elsewhere for people to do other shit.
