Compared to other movies in the “superhero action figures being banged together for two hours” genre, it wasn’t terrible.
It’s too bad a pretty big chunk of the potential audience was trained by the internet to believe a movie about a girl where she isn’t just a sex object is automatically terrible.
How is Momoa as Lobo? I want it to work so bad, he could be a good fit.
Momoa is a great Lobo, which is fitting because that's pretty much the character he always plays. The downside is that he isn't in the film much.
Mild non-plot spoilers
He has two character scenes and two fighting scenes. He doesn't have a story arc and he doesn't really fit in the story. You could remove him from the film and nothing would change.But I expect Momoa will stick around for a while and he'll get a lot more in future films.
According to reviewers, the best part of the movie.
Agreed. That's the only reason I'm going to see it.
