No, this isn't right. Fediverse is on the edge of the pool, just getting feet wet. That's a pre-Reddit user on a platform long gone.
Like Fark. Is Fark still a thing?
What about digg and vine
I went and looked back at Fark when abandoning ship at Reddit, but the feed is still super slow and the user base is minuscule even by Fediverse standards.
Similarly I went back to alt dot Simpsons dot tee vee and two users posting everything, alternating who does the weekly recap with not much else... It was depressing
What about alt dot religion dot kibology though
started too many cults, got an entire ip block ban
