admittedly, paying off the barbarians as a show of sovereignty and a practical way to keep them from invading and causing a lot of destruction is the traditional chinese solution. throwing a trilli at reindustrializing amerikkka (which isn't what would be accomplished what with all the overprofit scraped off the top of every intermediary business) to try and get trump to stop doing global imperial warfare is genuinely not out of the question within the long march of chinese history.
if things continue on this trajectory, china will eventually send a flying island fleet as an embassy to the united states, and they'll find a 96% subsistence farming US society....

Xi lost my support the instant he allowed the US plane to fly into Chinese airspace and didn't launch a Dongfeng missile at it, killing all on board. If he really wants to impress this white western leftist, he should've done a big pointless show of force that changes nothing of note and starts a war that will kill millions if not billions of people.
