Welcome!

Can you imagine, years ago how the internet was before? We know Facebook, Twitter, Tiktok, Youtube. We knew blogger, Tumblr, Skyrock... and long before, it was the forum era as phpBB..and mail-lists.

And now with ActivityPub, we are reshaping the web, and achieving much more with lots of freedom. So thank you all, and welcome 🀟😁

Feddit.org has been promoting a fake, libelous edited screenshot as proof of dbzer0 being a Nazi instance.

This has now been proven FAKE with a working WayBack Machine link.

Compare the users, the @'s, the emojis. There are a few differences as this was taken later, but this is the original post that was modified to show dbzer0 and quokk.au as being targetted by Nazis.

Here is where Feddit.org has been promoting this lie, with the full backing of the admins.

I have recently been banned from Feddit.org due to their admins lying and dismissing of my questioning the legitimacy of this post. See YPTB post here

The responsibility for these lies and the accusations of calling people nazis falls squarely on @Emopunker@feddit.org shoulders.

Unfortunately I fell for all the gossip around them being a neo nazi.

It's pretty sad to see something like this happen in the fediverse.

I fall for shit like it's going out of style. HumanOS is suckware.

The fact that you can recognize a cognitive fuck up for what it is and admit it is really cool.

If more people could do that... well we wouldn't have drama like this.

Admitting getting fooled is a very mature thing to do and so rare in online discouse.

I got fooled for years by Israel propaganda around Gaza. Since then I get in to trouble with lots of communities for questioning the narrative of both sides.

At least you got to see the truth.

Many people are not going to see this post and walk away thinking it was true. The damage of a lie lasts forever.

The feddit.org admins did not help by refusing to remove the post for hours after it was proven fake and continuing to argue against and silence evidence proving it.

At least you realized your mistake, and you're able to admit it.

Don’t feel bad. It’s completely plausible. Anyone could have fallen for it.

We're anarchists! We couldn't be more diametrically opposed to fascism if we tried. It's the opposite of plausible! 🫠

I owe you an apology. Especially after my post in yepowertrippinbastards. I'm glad it opened a discussion on the matter and that the correct information was provided though.

I hope you can forgive me.

People fell for the idea of "centralized anarchist leadership", I think plausibility is more about whether people can be convinced something is true than if the idea can even reflect reality.

Also some people think of the flotilla as "those pirate people", and don't know or have any interest in knowing more, which is a shame.

I actually had an idea for some promo type material I was calling "Ooh, so scawy!", with things like pictures of food being handed out or community cleanup efforts. At the bottom would be "They are an anarchist! Ooh, so scawy!", because so many people have no idea what anarchists stand for that I thought it might be a neat way to share ideas in a playful way.

I thought you were an autonomous collective.
