Flippant Anarchism. A lighter take on social criticism with the aim of agitation.

Post humorous takes on capitalism and the states which prop it up. Memes, shitposting, screenshots of humorous good takes, discussions making fun of some reactionary online, it all works.

This community is anarchist-flavored. Reactionary takes won't be tolerated.

Don't take yourselves too seriously. Serious posts go to !anarchism@lemmy.dbzer0.com

Rules

  1. If you post images with text, endeavour to provide the alt-text

  2. If the image is a crosspost from an OP, Provide the source.

  3. Absolutely no right-wing jokes. This includes "Anarcho"-Capitalist concepts.

  4. Absolutely no redfash jokes. This includes anything that props up the capitalist ruling classes pretending to be communists.

  5. No bigotry whatsoever. See instance rules.

  6. This is an anarchist comm. You don't have to be an anarchist to post, but you should at least understand what anarchism actually is. We're not here to educate you.

  7. No shaming people for being anti-electoralism. This should be obvious from the above point but apparently we need to make it obvious to the turbolibs who can't control themselves. You have the rest of lemmy to moralize.

No, they aren't. Humans have been using currency for thousands of years because it's just assigning a value to labor.

While a currency free system is possible on a very small scale, it's not something that can reasonably scale.

Which is the main problem with anarchy. You have to have a centralized government with a vertical hierarchy when you're dealing with massive populations because there are too many moving parts for millions of small groups to effectively self advocate.

Not to mention that achieving anarchy would require total world domination through a robust centralized power structure and lots and lots of killing.

if you're going to just make things up, you should start off by letting everyone know so tehy don't waste their time on your storytelling.

So you are unable to specify exactly what was fabricated.

At least you should be able to provide evidence against the things I said.

I mean, it's not like ancient Mesopotamia had accounting practices 7000 years ago or anything.

I'm sure there are plenty of examples of currency and hierarchy free societies with populations in the tens to hundreds of millions you could provide.

I'd also be interested to see what your plan is to peacefully change the governmental structure for 8 billion people.

We've never entirely eliminated money or government at a large scale to test the hypothesis if we would just make these concepts again. So it is entirely made up to say we would just invent them again because you can't prove we would. Admittedly, its nearly impossible to test in the real world.

It's impossible to do in the real world because doing so would violate the core tenants of anarchy. You'd have to conquer the world to get things to change within our lifetime.

For the record, I'm all for anarchy. I just don't think it's achievable due to human nature.

i did. every line.

[–] village604@adultswim.fan 0 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

That's not being specific. Words have meaning.

[–] commie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

you're sealioning now. you know you made all that up because you don't have a credible source for any of it. go play games somewhere else.

[–] village604@adultswim.fan 1 points 5 minutes ago (1 children)

My credible source is the entirety of written history, buddy.

[–] commie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 4 minutes ago

that's not a source. it's hand waiving.

your gif broke. but i foundi t, and it's just an appeal to ridicule, not evidence for your claim.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 1 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

i thought you were making a joke (one i liked, too) that i said people create things. no worries, it's hard to communicate tone over text.

[–] commie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

straight up mott and bailey. retreat from your specific, unjustified claim to one very broad and easy to defend.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 1 points 21 hours ago (2 children)

sorry, but you're committing the fallacy fallacy and i don't debate people who do that bullshit

[–] commie@lemmy.dbzer0.com -1 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

you're committing the fallacy fallacy

wrong, but you just did.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 1 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

let us spout the names of fallacies instead of talking, that is productive. that's you.

[–] commie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

another appeal to ridicule, but no evidence that money or government are inevitabilities.

[–] commie@lemmy.dbzer0.com -2 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

I don't want debate. I want you to stop making things up and spreading them as fact.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world -1 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

ooo, i get this every time i call out medical practitioners for committing crimes. within hours. which one was it you personally committed?

[–] commie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 20 hours ago

great. ad hominem with a red herring. still no evidence for your claim that government and money will pervade every society.
