Flippant Anarchism. A lighter take on social criticism with the aim of agitation.

Post humorous takes on capitalism and the states which prop it up. Memes, shitposting, screenshots of humorous good takes, discussions making fun of some reactionary online, it all works.

This community is anarchist-flavored. Reactionary takes won't be tolerated.

Don't take yourselves too seriously. Serious posts go to !anarchism@lemmy.dbzer0.com

Rules

  1. If you post images with text, endeavour to provide the alt-text

  2. If the image is a crosspost from an OP, Provide the source.

  3. Absolutely no right-wing jokes. This includes "Anarcho"-Capitalist concepts.

  4. Absolutely no redfash jokes. This includes anything that props up the capitalist ruling classes pretending to be communists.

  5. No bigotry whatsoever. See instance rules.

  6. This is an anarchist comm. You don't have to be an anarchist to post, but you should at least understand what anarchism actually is. We're not here to educate you.

  7. No shaming people for being anti-electoralism. This should be obvious from the above point but apparently we need to make it obvious to the turbolibs who can't control themselves. You have the rest of lemmy to moralize.

They didn't care when the Iranians killed tens of thousands either.

Seems they are quite self absorbed in general.

[–] cosecantphi@hexbear.net 12 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Were you also blindly parroting the Bush administration's lies about Iraq having WMDs and killing babies in incubators? Or was that one before your time?

[–] Valmond@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (2 children)

What a bullshit argument. Lol.

[–] Aquilae@hexbear.net 8 points 2 months ago

Well, were you or were you not? Or is this your first time encountering war propaganda?

[–] Wakmrow@hexbear.net 7 points 2 months ago

What's bullshit about it?

[–] Evilsandwichman@hexbear.net 6 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Iran killed way more than just tens of thousands, it was more like five gajillions

[–] jack@hexbear.net 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

did you know the only source for that number is literally Trump himself?

[–] Valmond@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 months ago (2 children)

So the 250 sources in the Wikipedia link I provided are all false?

Why do we federate with hexbear?

[–] jack@hexbear.net 2 points 2 months ago

lmao what Wikipedia link?

[–] CaptainSpaceman@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Just like OP, you paint Americans as a monolith, likely with zero actual evidence'

[–] Valmond@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 2 months ago (2 children)

35% still are in on the USA Iran war, they elected a rapist con man (and more) Twice.

What proof do you need?

And of course there are fantastic americans in the USA, but we're talking geopolitics, not statistical outliers.

[–] CaptainSpaceman@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

2/3 of Americans are outliers?

[–] Valmond@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I didn't know 1/3 was needed to elect a president. /s

[–] CaptainSpaceman@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Technically 1 vote is enough if everybody else abstains

[–] commie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 2 months ago

the electoral college would just choose someone if there were no popular vote.

[–] Valmond@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Then 99.999% would be responsible for the election by doing nothing.

[–] nsrxn@mstdn.social -1 points 2 months ago (2 children)

people aren't responsible for what others do.

[–] AntiBullyRanger@ani.social 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

sure looks like it, if you have the audacity to pretend your words have meaning.

[–] nsrxn@mstdn.social -1 points 2 months ago (1 children)
[–] AntiBullyRanger@ani.social 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

It's not. If you're not responsible for your words, why would we pretend to responsibilize others’?

[–] nsrxn@mstdn.social -1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

i never said i'm not responsible for my words.

[–] AntiBullyRanger@ani.social 0 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Then why would anyone read anyone’s words?

[–] nsrxn@mstdn.social -1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

i'm sorry. i don't think i can have this conversation without a translator. have a nice day.

[–] AntiBullyRanger@ani.social 1 points 2 months ago

Now you need a translator to responsibilize the logics of not responsibilizing presses/texts🙄.

Have a disassociating day!

[–] Valmond@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

But they are responsible if they don't vote.

[–] nsrxn@mstdn.social 0 points 2 months ago

saying it doesn't make it true.

[–] Valmond@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

You seem to be just arguing in vad faith all over the place.

oh, thank God.

[–] braxy29@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

we're hardly statistical outliers.

[–] Valmond@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 months ago

Well what are you doing to stop the dismantling of your democracy? I mean you americans in general.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Do you have an actual reliable source for the "tens of thousands" claim? Not saying they weren't killing protesters, but I've yet to see a single reputable source claim it was that high.

[–] Valmond@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)
[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone -1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

As of 25 January 2026, the total death toll estimates ranged from 3,117 people to upwards of ~36,500 people,[3][4][7]

Right, exactly my point.

[–] Valmond@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Do you dispute the claim?

Then say that.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 0 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I'm talking about the range. Again, I'm not claiming they didn't kill protesters, it's the number.

[–] Valmond@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

So you dispute it. There are 250 references in the wikipedia link, but I guess your tankie friends has some magic better truth eh. But what a shitty thing to say, trying to reduce mass murder by a dictatorial regime to a numbers battle.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (1 children)

What s weird reply. I'm not a fucking tankie because I'm skeptical that Iran murdered 30,000 of it's own citizens over the course of like a week or whatever. Jesus Christ.

[–] Valmond@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 2 months ago (1 children)

250 references.

250

What do you bring to the table other than a kremlin fueled gut feeling?

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone -1 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Cool, so why didn't you just reply to my original comment with just one valid news source?

[–] Valmond@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 months ago (2 children)
[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 1 month ago

Lol still can't

[–] nsrxn@mstdn.social -1 points 1 month ago

ooo. block me, too!

[–] nsrxn@mstdn.social 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

one source can be debunked, but a gish gallup of 250 cannot

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 1 month ago

Exactly. Guess I was sealioning for asking for one valid source showing Iran killed 30,000 protestors.
