Hmm, I wonder what would be more effective in driving voter turnout: Banishing certain memes on an online space with about 45,000 monthly active users, or Democrats making substantive changes to demonstrate that this cycle won't simply repeat yet again?
I've read the "1/3 couldn't be bothered" sentence about 10 times last week, from different posters. So, no change coming I guess, just vote "not Trump"?

Your goal isn't to exact certain policy goals, as otherwise that would be your number one priority. Personally, if Trump pulled a reverse Fetterman tomorrow, had a stroke, and suddenly became progressive, I wouldn't want him out of office. Getting him out is a means to an end, not an end in itself.

If nothing is more urgent, and toppling the regime requires voter turnout, then it would stand to reason that perhaps encouraging voter turnout is key? That seems self-evident to me. And the Democrats (and you) ain't gonna get it done by offering the same ol' same ol' that failed to generate turnout for Harris.

The US education system teaches, on behalf of the government, that every event is self contained and compartmentalized with no connection to future or past events. It distracts from incremental fascism. Much the way they whine about Putin and what he's done without acknowledging it was the US, Bill Clinton and his government, interfering in Russian elections and getting Boris Yeltsin reelected who nominated Putin to proceed him. Or how Larry Ellison now owns a majority chunk of US entertainment and news which is only possible because of Bill Clinton telecom reform act.
It's liberals that keep people like Trump in power, it's liberals that put people like Trump into power by never addressing those material conditions. Democrats got the black vote in the '60s because they improved the material conditions of the black community. Now they've done nothing but abandoned them along with everyone else from the non-white working class
If I was a troll whose job was to supress democrat votes for these upcoming elections, I would discourage voting by selling hopelessness. First I'd try to conv8nce them that they won't get enough votes anyway. And/or, I'd crap on the only viable alternative.
