Michael Phelps is a freak of nature, with an incredible wingspan and a body that produces less lactic acid than nearly every other swimmer. He was allowed to take home 23 gold medals, and was only able to do so with those genetic advantages and fucktons of work and training.
Bone structure, height, or hand size clearly do not matter to people at the highest levels, and likely matter even less when you're playing in your high school or college soccer league.
And I mentioned the work and training aspect because without that, Phelps would be very good, but not 23-gold-medals good. You're boiling down women's sports to essentially hand size and genetics. Best get out the calipers to start measuring skull sizes (/s).
Can you even name 5 women athletes without looking them up? Do you really care about women if you're trying to subject them to this scrutiny to "catch" an incredibly miniscule part of the population? Are women with PCOS or other endocrine disorders not allowed? How would you even test for this shit? You can't even give us clear definitions of what "fair" would be.
JAQing off is not a discussion. You have your opinion. It's based off of anecdotes, non-existent or irrelevant statistics, and vibes. If you want an actual discussion about excluding a whole group of people from competing in sports, stop spouting off shit like how big men's hands are like you're determining if trans women are Aryan enough to compete with their peers.
I feel like you're a stone's throw away from saying something like "black runners are better because of genes so we should segregate them".
Warren is one of my senators, and she's pretty pro-consumer. I'd argue it's her primary platform. She proposed and champions the CFPB and consistently calls for oversight and regulations on companies. I doubt it's stock related or anything nefarious.
My guy we're literally on a Not The Onion community. Though it does look like a troll bill.
I wake up every day, despite everything. I don't look forward to it.
I got a prescription for some anti-anxiety meds because the state of the world has made the anxiety from my ADHD borderline unmanageable. I'm debating filling it and being a zombie again until I'm either killed or can flee to a safer country (if there even is one tbh).
Such deep insights about LBZ from a lemmy.world account! I'd love to see where you pulled these assertions from. Well, I mean unless you pulled them out of your ass of course.
I think this take is a bit disingenuous. From what I can tell, LBZ defederated because the admins ignored requests from ada to reign in transphobia/clarify rules around dealing with transphobic comments or posts.
Defederation is the opposite of enforcing one instance's rules on another instance. Both sets of instance rules are still intact. LBZ has chosen to stop federation because of their own instance rules. If changes are made and the instance rules and enforcement no longer break LBZ's instance rules, I'm willing to bet ada and LBZ would be open to federate again.
A simple Google search shows that you're wrong.
Some people equate facts with belief. I can't help it if you have no ability to discern the difference. If you can, then I can't help that your beliefs make you hateful and willing to dismiss things you don't like as "beliefs".
Also...
It's bigoted of you to think your beliefs are absolute fact while discrediting the beliefs of others.
Pot, meet kettle? Are you not doing this by your own logic?
Edit: Can't see your transphobic shit anymore, thank fuck. Trans women are women. Trans does not mean not. You wouldn't say "Cis women aren't women" just because "Cis" comes before "women".
Oh, are we banning Christians from bathrooms on the basis that you disagree with them? Maybe Muslims make you uncomfortable and you don't want them near women?
Sincerely, what is your argument here, "I don't believe you, so what you said is invalid it's a religion."? Trans women are women. I don't understand how that is a debate or why you think it's equivalent to some religion, it's an assertion of identity.
It's the truth, not a belief.
