If you like that, then just wait till you hear about the greatest Danish, early modern antiquarian, Ole Worm. He made a, by the standards of the time, very scientific cabinets of curiosities, the first of its kind in Denmark, and correctly identified the origin of unicorn horns (narwhales)
He also penned a cover letter that ordered all bishops in Denmark to report on local folklore, and compiled their accounts into a big book. So he'll probably be featured in a post one day.
