For me, their best contribution has been strong anti-imperialist takes all the way up to "give Iran a nuke." You could occasionally find support for left-ish domestic policies without straying too far from the mainstream -- it's anti-imperialism that was banished to the fringes.
That and their actual positions on Venezuela (except for platforming Mamdani, but I am directly blaming Will for that one), China, and Russia has always been good. It's not just a general anti-war stance.
frfr. i remember in the early years, matt and [redacted] said that on a yahoo news podcast of all things and i think felix did something similar on a pod john show. never to be returning guests. lol.
