I assume you're talking about removing it? And by discreet you mean you'd rather deal with it by yourself for now?
First step would of course be shaving or waxing, the latter being more effective. Or hair removal cream for something in-between.
You can also buy IPL hair removal devices for use at home, although laser would be a more efficient option.
Or just get on HRT and it will slow down and (potentially) thin out a bit :3
if they're thinking about getting laser anytime soon, waxing would potentially complicate that - I would probably recommend sticking with shaving (less painful, won't interfere with laser)
And lemme ask, how long is "soon" in this context?
if you wax hair, the follicles might take a full three months before regrowing enough to get zapped by the laser - basically if you're planning on laser in the next 3 - 6 months I wouldn't wax that area.
I did do a bunch of waxing early on, but it was really painful and didn't really last long. If you do wax, I suggest a hard wax and not a honey / soft wax. Hard wax is better on the thick follicles and I found it much less painful.
