My partner unironically asked if we could visit one day when we were talking about it yesterday. I had to break it to them that we legally can't 😔

In my experience some cool countries staple an extra page into your passport so you can remove it on the way out and avoid being hassled by immigration officers in less friendly countries.

You might be pleasantly surprised.
