I believe the US lets people enlist at 17 (with parental consent) but they don't deploy them to combat before they're 18.

And then, evidently the bombing of boats in the Caribbean and the bombing of civilians in Iran means nothing to you either, those were carried out under orders that they did not question.
Maybe they shouldn't volunteer to murder civilians abroad then? They weren't drafted and the US is in war all the time so it's always a safe bet that if you join the military you'll kill someone or help kill someone
