I am an ignorant American but I also find language interesting. Where I'm from we call it a lawn mower and I've never considered the fact that would be because Americans are stupid and think we must have lawns.
Is it called a land mower elsewhere? Is it a translation thing?
no, well where i live its called "grass-cutter", but that "land mower" is a typo
