Classic fascist regime (USA) ignoring material reality and thinking their imaginary numbers (US dollars) can fix a problem caused by a real supply shock. I don't even understand the implications of the USA selling a kajillionn dollars worth oil futures to temporarily stabilize gas prices - does that mean the US government will have to buy oil at ANY price and sell it for the agreed upon price when the futures mature?

Or more precisely, a point at which the scale of the malfeasance of the wealthy and politically influential few so far outpaces the slow and steady ongoing transfer of wealth to them from everyone else that it's replaced by an immediate and significant transfer of wealth to them from everyone else.
