I keep hearing a little squeaking sound and I choose to believe it's a wee little mouse who's hiding out in my home.

I had this happen to a bird once in my workshop. The chimney top to the wood stove wasn't properly capped and a bird got stuck in the stove and died. It was one of my favorite species.

Aw. :( I had maybe 5 birds fall down the chimney into a house I was renting over the course of a couple of years. Had no idea they're so clumsy like that.
