I’m Swiss, but I was born and raised in the Gulf states. When I visit Switzerland during the cold season, I immediately become depressed, irritable, and in a bad mood. I prefer the heat 100%. I don’t think I could live in a place with a cold climate and be happy.

I was born and raised in northern Alberta and I hate the cold too. For me it's just the pain of waiting on the side of a road for a bus that's already twenty minutes late or sitting in the cab of your truck at -35°C waiting for it to warm up so you don't bust the engine. I hate the heat also though, it could sometimes get up to +35°C in my hometown, so like a 100 degree temperature difference... it really sucked and you can't escape the heat, at least not with the places I was able to rent back then.

The lack of sun doesn't effect me that much, but maybe that's because mushrooms are always a part of my diet. In fact, my favourite days are damp and overcast, which is why I live on the coast now and love it except for the high unemployment. ;-;
