I found it ironic when most screamed that "We shouldn't have been there in the first place!" and "Finally the injustice is ending!" when the US withdrew. It was very clear to me from the start that for a majority of the afghan people, life would get significantly worse under the Taliban. Was the invasion a sham? Yes. Did a lot of innocent people get killed? Also yes. But the invasion brought a significant liberation for women especially.
The US helped create this problem

Disagreed. Modern talibans are a direct reaction to the invasion. Extremist ideologies tends to be more resilient against invasions, and after the invadors leave, that extremism turns inwards.
Except one of the reasons the Taliban took over the country as fast as they did is that the US backed government
. The US-backed government was a rotten corrupt cesspool that gave its subjects marginally more civil rights at the cost of plunging the country into decades of civil/"civil" war and destroying any chance at development and progress due to its rampant corruption and incompetence. They did a couple of things right (though very half assed), but it's downright comical to talk about "liberation" when two thirds of the population were illiterate. Not to say the Taliban are any better at these things, but at least the Taliban don't have the world's strongest military backing them.
They had education, sports and more rights for girls and now they don't.
"Yeah we bombed the shit out of them for 50 years, but we gave them soccer!"
Your bombs will never be liberating.
They also enslaved and raped little boys.
In fact, part of the extreme fundamentalism is as a reaction to the US propping up people who were into bacha bazi.
K.
I hate the usa and their imperialism, but I do hate religions, and especially this "religion of peace" much more. So I'd agree. It was for the wrong reasons, but sure a dead Taliban is a good Taliban. These child fucking slavers need to be eradicated.
It's 2026 goddammit and those pathetic losers still see women as an absolute property. One chromosome decides your fate...incredible. Let's not even mention anything queer-ish.
And who is going to invade the USA for the same, above, reasons?
I hate the USA but last time I checked, women were not property by law and also are allowed to get educated. But if you see no difference, fine. You're surely free to have an opinion.
No? How's it going over there regarding reproductive rights?
Dude. Just because they're also full of religious backwards numbnuts, who want to reign over women, doesn't mean they're even close to the Taliban level of degeneracy.
The USA might be going backwards in time to 1950 and before, but the pedoliban are still in the year 700.
