Update 2/ getting a blood test tomorrow which includes hormone testing…thank you for your comments and help :) Update/ just about to go for a GP appointment regarding “early menopause”. If anyone has any advice on what I can say to help my case I’d appreciate it. Thanks.

ETA- I’m in the UK. Anyone have any info or advice is welcomed. Edit 2- I just asked my GP about getting my hormones tested…waiting on their response e3- also my dad made a comment saying I look trans a couple yrs ago and he’s not wrong tbh. It’s so hard not comparing myself to my sisters especially and other women in my family.

I don’t feel like a natural woman. Like the Portishead song “I just wanna be a woman”…

I just wanna feel like the the other women in my family and the gender I was assigned at birth but I just feel like the grinch. I literally feel like my body is all wrong and I can’t just “accept” it and be grateful.

Mtf (in my case, masc to femme) I probably have hormonal imbalances or something. My life is awful. If y’all can take it at the ages you do, I feel like I should be allowed to at 23…

Euthanasia is on the cards atp…I just wanna stop feeling worthless

Could you get your GP to refer you for testing? There can be many reasons for a hormone imbalance some more serious than others PCOS springs to mind. But you could always have an issue with your adrenal glands. Basically having tests done will find the underlying cause, whereas just taking hormones might be the equivalent of seeing the pot is boiling over and turning the oven off when the house is on fire.

But if you're determined to get hormones menopausal women get prescribed estrogen easily by their GP and failing that there's always the DIY option, although many see that as a last resort.

Yep. Last night I messaged my gp asking for a hormonal blood test.

I applied to Boots but doubt they’ll accept so might see if my mum will let me use her details…

Not too sure the right avenue when it comes to DIY

Well you should definitely go the official route if possible, but your local LGBTQ crowd would be more able to guide you in the right direction as far as DIY goes. I know my first step if I still lived there would be to go to the alternative pubs on board game night and start talking to autistic looking people dressed in black. Yes I know people don't "look autistic" but if we're being totally honest some people really do. I'm one of them. There's a large overlap between the LGBTQ and neurodivergent communities and they accounted for 80% of my social circle when I lived in Edinburgh. Good people, would definitely be able to get estrogen within a relatively short time.

I don't think I'm allowed to mention specific places on this com, but there are websites to order hormones on the grey market. I know some don't deliver to the UK and they sometimes have logistical problems or other issues (I ordered a vial from a place in South America over a month ago and it hasn't been sent yet).

There are also online pharmacies in India that will drop ship hormones in pretty much any form (but they may or may not get pinched by customs).

Alternatively if you live near one of the larger airports I believe that as a cis woman you can get HRT over the counter in either Spain or Portugal (not sure which).

If the NHS is unhelpful I would prioritise either the local alternative community, or trips to Spain with an empty suitcase.

My social skills are horrible(even considering neurodivergent people which I definitely am) so going out and talking to someone about that irl isn’t really going to happen.

I’ve looked up a few potential suppliers online and no luck yet.

Can’t see myself going out the country let alone out the house for it lol.

I guess I’ll just wait for my gp to get back to me on the hormone testing and hopefully get prescribed it that way.

I got diagnosed ADHD last year and have been referred for autism assessment so my mental health situation is known to the GP for these things among others……

This server and community is pro DIY and we have a DIY community with lots of links and guides. I don't recommend doing anything until after the blood test however so you have an idea of what you might need. If your GP can help this would be ideal, but if not then we will be here.
