After marriage, if you get her to 14 (?) hearts and go to the bus stop, there's an event where you are jumped by a shadow person. Abigail jumps in with her sword and saves you, but then has a scene where she remorsefully holds a little funeral for it after you have likely slaughtered them by the hundreds in the mines.
