That's not really what this article is saying though. It's saying that some employees feel like they've crossed a line when it comes to mass layoffs (including their own jobs, eventually) due to the tools they've developed.

TBF: I think the article headline is deliberately ambiguous. I thought the same thing as you until I dug into the article more.
