Of all the potential attack vectors RAM is one of the least likely because they use off the shelf controllers made by the same 2 or 3 companies, and if you add anything to it for spying its very easy to detect. Much easier to modify peripherals or use the backdoors the NSA mandates in all our CPUs anyways.
Yeah I was going to say I've never heard of RAM being a vector for spyware?
I can't find the video or article, but I remember seeing something recently that it was technically possible but so complicated and costly to pull off that it makes 0 sense to even try.
