Considering another skater is getting called out for copyright problems when she did her due diligence to clear rights — you’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t.

So to avoid that situation they are using AI generated music, made by an AI which is trained on unlicensed music because the AI companies don't give a crap. Nice.
The "must hate on ai" train is to thick here to understand such subtleties as licensing and rights restrictions. Ironic isnt it

And then the orchestra that recorded it would possibly sue them for copyright infringement. Just because the sheet music is out of copyright doesn’t mean the recording is.
Maybe they could dig through some old 78s or hire a piano player to work around that.
Before 10 or 15 years ago you weren't allowed music with voices, and most people used classical.
Just get a string quartet to follow you around on the ice and play live. I'd pay to see that
yeah I was thinking of hiring a performer, although I don't know how expensive that would be vs getting rights to some that's already there
